RGA304M (M1) was the first Scania/MCW Metropolitan to arrive in the fleet, a further 39 were to follow. It was ordered by Glasgow Corporation but didn't arrive until ownership had passed to Greater Glasgow PTE. The PTE was then renamed Strathclyde PTE in December 1980. The vehicle was withdrawn shortly after this in 1981.
